In English adverbs are generally formed by appending "ly" to adjective word.
e.g. beautifully, gracefully, sadly, happily etc.
In Gujarati adverbs are created by different ways.
Few adverbs are separate words.
Few adverbs are created from adjectives by adding રીતે(rIte)
Few adverbs are created from adjectives by adding થી (thI)

In English word indicating time or place are also considered as adverbs. Those adverbs are also independent words in Gujarati .
We have discussed such words in previous sections as "time related words", "place related words". So though grammatically they fall under category of "adverbs" we have studied them independently for ease of learning.
Note :- In Gujarati adverbs come before verb
Examples :-
I told him clearly ->મેં એને સ્પષ્ટતાથી કહ્યું (meM ene spaShTatAthI kahyuM)
He watched last over of match eagerly -> તેણે મેચની છેલ્લી ઓવ્હર અધીરતાપૂર્વક જોઈ (teNe mechanI ChellI ovhar adhIratApUrvak jOI )
She can finish this task easily ->એ આ કામ સરળતાથી પતાવી શકે છે (e A kAm saraLatAthI patAvI shake Che)
