7) As :- જેમ(jem)
Conjunction "As" is used in multiple ways.
Main use of "As" is to indicate the way thing happen. It can be said in in Gujarati using pair word is જેમ(jem)-તેમ(tem) or જે રીતે(je rIte)-તે રીતે(te rIte).
e.g.
Do it same way as he is doing ->
એ જેમ કરે છે તેમ કર (e jem / je rIte kare Che tej rIte kar )
એ જે રીતે કરે છે તે રીતે કર (e jem / je rIte kare Che te rIte kar )
He studies as told by teacher ->
શિક્ષકે જેમ કહ્યું છે તેમ એ અભ્યાસ કરે છે (shikShake jem kahyuM Che tem e abhyAs kare Che )
શિક્ષકે જે રીતે કહ્યું છે તે રીતે એ અભ્યાસ કરે છે ( shikShake je rIte kahyuM Che te rIte e abhyAs kare Che )
For other usage of "As" refer the section of frequently used conjunction for that usage. e.g. For usage of "As" as "because", refer previous lesson for conjunction "because".
8) As well as :- સાથે સાથે ( sAthe sAthe),અને-પણ( ane-paN )
He as well as me :- એ સાથે સાથે હું (e sAthe sAthe huM)
એ અને હું પણ (e ane huM paN)
She sang as well as danced :-
એ નાચી સાથે સાથે એણે ગાયું (e nAchI sAthe sAthe eNe gAyuM )
એ નાચી અને એણે ગાયું પણ (e nAchI ane eNe gAyuM paN)
9) Or :- અથવા(athavA ), કે(ke)
He or me :- એ અથવા/કે હું (e athavA/ke huM )
Do or die :- કરો અથવા/કે મરો (karo athavA/ke maro)
10) "Nor","Neither-Nor"
There is no concept of "Nor","Neither-Nor" in Gujarati.
Neither-nor statement should be converted to alternate statement using "and" ;"both","as well as" and then translated accordingly in Gujarati.
e.g.
"Neither he nor me were interested" -> "He and me both were not interested" -> તે અને હું બંને ઇચ્છુક નહોતા (te ane huM baMne ichChuk nahotA)
11) if / in case /if only / provided :- જો-તો(jo-to)
