Sentence formation with āŠ āŠāа્āŠŪāŠ (akarmak) verbs
Consider āŠ āŠāа્āŠŪāŠ (akarmak) verbs e.g. to come, to go , to sit etc.
And consider sentences -> "I will get it gone by him"; "I will get it come by him"; "I will get it sat by him". All these sound awkward.
So as you would have guessed such sentences can not be prepared in Gujarati in above way. So you will use alternate ways
I will make him go ->
I will try so that he will go ->
āŠđું āŠāŠĩો āŠŠ્āŠ°āŠŊāŠĪ્āŠĻ āŠāаીāŠķ āŠે āŠ āŠāŠķે (huM evo prayatn karIsh ke e jashe)
OR
I will do such a way, so that he will have to go ->
āŠđું āŠāŠĩું āŠāаીāŠķ āŠે āŠāŠĻે āŠāŠĩું āŠŠāŠĄāŠķે (huM evuM karIsh ke ene javuM paDashe)
etc.

In English we use sentences like "I will make him work",
"That joke made him laugh" etc.
So we use phrase here as "to make one do something".
Gujarati sentences are same as saying "I will get it done from someone". So In Gujarati we say it āŠđું āŠĪેāŠĻી āŠŠાāŠļે āŠાāŠŪ āŠāаાāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩીāŠķ (huM tenI pAse kAm karAvaDAvIsh), āŠđું āŠĪેāŠĻી āŠŠાāŠļે āŠŽોāŠēાāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩીāŠķ (huM tenI pAse bolAvaDAvIsh) etc.
Here we first change the verb stem by appending āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv)
Original verb stem+ āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) = Verb stem to be
used
āŠāа (kar) + āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) = āŠāаાāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (karAvaDAv)
āŠđāŠļ (has) + āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) = āŠđāŠļાāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (hasAvaDAv )
If beginning letter of verb has āŠ (A) sound in it, then it is changed to āŠ
(a)
āŠાāŠē (chAl) changed to āŠāŠē(chal) + āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) = āŠāŠēાāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (chalAvaDAv )
āŠŪાāŠ° (mAr) changed to āŠŪāŠ° (mar) + āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) = āŠŪāŠ°ાāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (marAvaDAv
)
If verb stem is single letter and has has āŠ (A) sound in it, then it is changed to āŠ (a) and “āŠ(A)” of āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) is also omitted
āŠા (khA) changed to āŠ(kh) +āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) = āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (khavaDAv
)
āŠા (gA) changed to āŠ(g) +āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) = āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (gavaDAv
)
If verb stem is single letter and has has āŠ (A) sound in it, then it is changed to āŠ (a) and “āŠ(A)” of āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) is also omitted
āŠા (khA) changed to āŠ(kh) +
āŠા (gA) changed to āŠ(g) +
In other irregular
verb stems, starting “āŠ(A)” of āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) is omitted
āŠŠી (pI) + āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) = āŠŠીāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (pIvaDAv)
āŠ§ો(dho) + āŠāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (AvaDAv) = āŠ§ોāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩ (dhovaDAv)
Needless to say, form of verb follows the
general rules of sentence formation. i.e.
For present and future tense the form of is as per subject i.e. āŠāа્āŠĪા
For past tense it is as per object i.e. āŠāа્āŠŪ
For present and future tense the form of is as per subject i.e. āŠāа્āŠĪા
For past tense it is as per object i.e. āŠāа્āŠŪ
And we use proposition “-āŠĻી āŠŠાāŠļે” (nI pAse) through whom activity is actually done. Examples
will make it clear.
Examples :-
I make him say the truth -> āŠđું āŠāŠĻી āŠŠાāŠļે āŠļāŠĪ્āŠŊ āŠŽોāŠēાāŠĩāŠĄાāŠĩું āŠું (huM enI pAse saty bolAvaDAvuM ChuM)

They made us wash the one pot -> āŠĪેāŠŪāŠĢે āŠ

They made us wash many pots -> āŠĪેāŠŪāŠĢે āŠ
