Simple Gujarati conversation between passenger and Rickshaw/Taxi driver.

(Note :- This lesson has reference to few places in Pune city viz. Tilak Road, Kotharud, Baner, S.P.College, Swargate, Magarpatta)

English	Gujarati
(Passenger :) Can you take me to Tilak road ?	ટિળક રોડ લઈ જશો ?(TiLak roD laI jasho ?)
(Driver:) No	નહિં.(nahiM.)
Why ?	કેમ ?(kem ?)
I want to go to Kothrud, Baner areas	મારે કોથરૂડ,બાણેર જવું છે.(mAre kotharUD,bANer javuM Che.)
Ok	બરાબર (barAbar)

Can you take me to Tilak road ?	ટિળક રોડ લઈ જશો ?(TiLak roD laI jasho ?)
Yes. Have a set	હા. બેસો.(hA. beso.)
Will you charge by meter	મીટર મુજબ ભાડું લેશો ને ?(mITar mujab bhADuM lesho ne ?)
Yes.	હા.(hA.)
On Tilak road, where exactly do you want to go ?	ટિળક રોડમા ચોક્કસ કઈ જગ્યાએ જવું છે ?(TiLaka roDamA chokkas kaI jagyAe javuM Che ?)
Drop me near S.P. College	એસ.પી. કૉલેજ પાસે છોડી દો.(es.pI. k~olej pAse ChoDI do.)
Here is the S.P. College	આવી ગઈ એસ.પી. કોલેજ(AvI gaI es.pI. Kolej)
How much is fare	કેટલા થયાં?(keTalA thayAM?)
Forty rupees	ચાળીસ રૂપિયા (chALIs rUpiyA)
It is so near by, how come fare is so much?	આટલું નજીક છે તો પણ, આટલા કેવી રીતે થયાં? (ATaluM najIk Che to paN, ATalA kevI rIte thayAM?)
I am telling as per meter only	મીટર મુજબ જ કહું છું.(mITar mujaba j kahuM ChuM.)
Show me the meter card	મને મીટર કાર્ડ બતાવો.(mane mITar kArD batAvo.)
See this.	આ જુઓ.(A juo.)
OK. Take this.	બરાબર (barAbar). આ લો. (A lo.)
I do not have change for 100 rupees. Give change	મારી પાસે સોના પરચૂરણ નથી. પરચૂરણ આપો. (mArI pAse sonA parachUraN nathI. parachUraN Apo.)
I don’t have change too	મારી પાસે પણ નથી.(mArI pAse paN nathI.)
It is ok even if you have 50 rupees	પચાસ હોય તો પણ ચાલશે.(pachAs hoy to paN chAlashe.)
Yes, take these 50 Rs.	હા. પચાસ છે. આ લો.(hA. pachAs Che. A lo.)
Take these remaining 10 rupees	આ લો બાકીના દસ રૂપિયા.(A lo bAkInA das rUpiyA.)
Take your bag. You forgot it backside	તમારી બેગ લો. પાછળ જ ભૂલી ગયા.(tamArI beg lo. pAChaLa j bhUlI gayA.)
Oh, yes. I forgot	અરે હા !! ભૂલી ગયો !!(are hA !! bhUlI gayo !!)
Where will I get share auto to Swargate	સ્વારગેટ જવા અહિં શેઅર રિક્ષા ક્યાંથી મળશે ? (svArageT javA ahiM shear rikShA kyAMthI maLashe ?)
From next square	આગળના ચોકથી.(AgaLanA chokathI.)

Yes.	હા.(hA.)
How much fare per person	શેઅરના કેટલા?(shearnA keTalA?)
ten rupees	દસ રૂપિયા.(das rUpiyA.)
Ok.	બરાબર (barAbar)
Can you come to "Magarpatta"	મગરપટ્ટા લઈ જશો ?(magarapaTTA laI jasho ?)
It will cost 150	દોઢસો થશે.(doDhaso thashe.)
How come 150 ?	દોઢસો શું કામ ?(doDhaso shuM kAm ?)
By meter It should cost 120.	મીટર તરીકે તો એકસો વીસ થાય છે.(mITar tarIke to ekso vIs thAy Che.)
Why 30 rupees more	ત્રીસ રૂપિયા વધારે શા માટે? (trIs rUpiyA vadhAre shA mATe?)
We do not get passengers while coming back.	અમને આવતી વખતે ભાડું નથી મળતું. (amane AvatI vakhate bhADuM nathI maLatuM.)
Leave it. I will go by other rickshaw	જવા દો. હું બીજી રિક્ષામાં જઈશ.(javA do. huM bIjI rikShAmAM jaIsh.)
Give 10 rupees more than meter charges	મીટર ઉપર દસ રૂપિયા વધારે આપો.(mITar upar das rUpiyA vadhAre Apo.)
Ok. Let's go	બરાબર (barAbar). ચાલો.(Thik Che. chAlo.)
