To represent the ownership we use My/His/Her etc. In English these forms are gender neutral
e.g  My son. My daughter. My table.
For all the three cases we used “My”. But in Gujarati, depending on the gender of the objective form changes.

e.g. For “My” in English, there are 3 forms in Gujarati viz.
મારો (mAro )  for masculine
મારી (mArI  ) for feminine
મારું (mAruM ) for neuter

So above cases will be
My son                          --> મારો દીકરો  (mAro dIkaro )
My daughter                  --> મારી દિકરી  (mArI dikarI )
My Table                       --> મારું ટેબલ  (mAruM Tebal )

If objective is plural then again there are another form,
મારા (mArA) for masculine plural
મારાં(mArAM) for neuter plural  (or group of different genders)
For feminine gender it is same as singular form i.e. મારી (mArI )

My sons                        --> મારા દીકરા  (mArA dIkarA)

My daughters                --> મારી દીકરીઓ  (mArAM dIkarIo )

My Tables                     --> મારાં ટેબલ (mArAM Tebal )

My father                     --> મારા બાપુ (mArA bApu )

Similarly there are forms for other pronouns as listed below.
These forms follow pattern discussed in ઓ-ઈ-ઉં-આ-ઈ-આં (o-I-uM-A-I-AM ) યો-ઈ-યું-યા-ઈ-યાં ( yo-I-yuM-yA-I-yAM ) rule

For proper names suffixes are  :-

નો (no)-ની(nI)-નું(nuM)-ના(nA)-ની(nI)-નાં(nAM )

e.g.
Peter’s son                    --> પીટરનો દીકરો  (pITarano dIkaro )
Peter’s daughter             --> પીટરની દીકરી  (pITaranI dIkarI )
Peter’s Table                 --> પીટરનું ટેબલ  (pITaranuM Tebal )

If objective is plural then one form for all three genders.
viz.
Peter’s sons                  --> પીટરના દીકરા    (pITaranA dIkarA )
Peter’s daughters          --> પીટરની દીકરીઓ  (pITaranAM dIkarIo )
Peter’s Tables               --> પીટરનાં ટેબલ  (pITaranAM Tebal )
Peters's father              --> પીટરના બાપુ   (pITaranA bApu)

As we have seen before, for feminine polite form, we use neuter plural. So,

Peters's mother             --> પીટરનાં બા   (pITaranAM bA)
