Telling date in Gujarati
We use English months in day to day conversations. The Indian/Hindu months are used during religious discussions or rituals or specifying "મુહૂર્ત" of marriage etc.
Like in English, we use words first, second, third .. thirty-first to indicate date.
For such words in Gujarati, refer
http://learn-gujarati-from-english.blogspot.com/2014/01/fractional-numbers-sequence-percentage.html
e.g.
What date is it today ? આજે શું તારીખ છે.(Aje shuM tArIkh Che)
તારીખ is feminine word.
It was 1st July yesterday -> કાલે પહેલી જુલાઈ હતી. (kAle pahelI julAI hatI.)
It is 2nd July today -> આજે બીજી જુલાઈ છે. (Aje bIjI julAI Che.)
It will be 3rd July tomorrow -> આવતી કાલે ત્રીજી જુલાઈ હશે.(AvatI kAle trIjI julAI hashe)
etc.
But it is also common to say number instead of sequence as if saying one July, two July , three July etc.
કાલે એક જુલાઈ હતી.(kAle ek julAI hatI).
આજે બે જુલાઈ છે.(Aje be julAI Che)
આવતી કાલે તીન જુલાઈ હશે (AvatI kAle tIn julAI hashe)
